Sony has promised to give 4.4 kitkat update to almost all of its Xperia devices in the coming new year as according to sources 4.4 is designed to work even in 512 MB of RAM. But before official update, a Red Sony Xperia Z1 is spotted with 4.4 kitkat version of android installed on that device. This is quite surprising. Read on.
The pictures of Red xperia Z1 is supposed to be a new version of Z1 which will be soon announced. More over its model no is not yet confirmed. This update was being spotted on Xperia Guide Website with some of the screenshots of Red Xperia Z1. By seeing screenshot of system information we came to know that its running a higher of version of Kitkat

which is actually not even tested in Nexus 5 or Nexus 7 (2013) (i.e. Android 4.4.2). This made us quite amazed.

- We think this version of Xperia Z1 is a prototype running an Alpha version of Android 4.4 Kitkat.
- May be it is being installed to check to the compatibility or performance of Android 4.4?
- May be it is a pre release ROM of 4.4 for Xperia Z1 which if leaked can be installed in Xperia Z1 via ClockWorkMod Recovery upon rooting?
