Samsung is one of those companies that create a design for their flagship smartphones and then carry that similar look onto their tablets. Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition is no exception. This tablet which was announced at IFA Event in Berlin last month packs some serious muscle and an eye catching colors. Read on to find out more.
If you've watched the IFA event you would have noticed that Galaxy Note 10.1 2104 edition was definitely a big part of the event. It was one of the most awaited tablets since the original Note 10.1 from last year.

This year's Note 10.1 comes loaded with hardware and software upgrades that is certain to make all benchmark geeks jump in excitement.So, first off lets start with the design. As always Samsung preps its latest tablets based on the companies latest flagship. When you look at the Note 10.1 you would'nt be surprised. After all the Note 10.1 borrows a lot from the current flagship S4. The tablet has minimized bezels compared to last gen and has S4 like corners which in turn seem to inherit 2011's flasghip - S2. Speaking of bezels, the screen presented is a 10.1 inch Super Clear LCD display with more than FULL HD resoultion meaning you have a crystal clear 2560 x 1600 pixel which makes up for 299 ppi. Next up is build quality. You might be thinking that like all flagships the Note 10.1 features the same old plastic material. Its true. We have to let you have a victory dance. But most of the customers and mylife alike, dislike the idea of using plastic on hig end device but nonetheless the quality is not compromised much. It would be really life changing if Samsung ever decides to use aluminium like HTC does.
Now that we've got the outside description clear lets move on to the inside. This beast is packing some serious muscle with 3 versions available i.e Wifi only, 3G and LTE models depending on your region. The Note 10.1 2014 edition is not shy in showing its power with 3G/Wifi only models being treated with an Exynos 5 Octa 5410chipset upon which 8 cores i.e four 1.9GHz Cortex A15 cores and four 1.3GHz Cortex A7 cores lie calmly. However, the LTE models gets a more beastly hardware with a Quad Core 2.3GHz Krait 400 CPU and Adreno 330 GPU. All this would'nt even matter if it wasn't for the 3GB RAM in all the versions. Next up is the S Pen. A Note is incomplete without one. The S Pen is redesigned but we didnt find any major game changing look but atleast that's what Samsung claims. Nonetheless, the S Pen features even more goodies like Easy Chart, S Planner, Air Command: Action Memo, Scrapbook, Screen Write, S Finder, Pen Window, Direct Pen Input. All this comes with the latest Android 4.3 pre-installed. Samsung has managed to add an 8MP camera with LED flash and 1080p recording at 60fps. The front facer 2MP remains the same. As always Samsung is kind enough to include a MicroSD card slot with expansion upto 64GB and has also plugged in a USB 3.0 port. Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and Wifi ac/g/b/n also come along. Finally the beast is feeded with 8220 mAH Li-Ion battery that is sealed. All this could be yours for $549 for 16GB version and $599 for 32GB version.
