Now a days, Samsung is creating Active versions of its Galaxy S-series flagship smartphones like Samsung Galaxy S4 Active, S5 Active, and S6 Active. The main feature of this Active series of Smartphones is that they are rugged versions and include dust-proof and water resistant cases, as well as physical keys and buttons under the screen and on its side.
Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Active is expected to be launched in November this year. In an event held recently, the company launched its latest Note series of Smartphone called the Samsung Galaxy Note 5. Rumours were afloat that the company might pack a huge 4100 mAh battery in the Galaxy Note 5 to handle the QHD display. The rumours were however found untrue, since the company launched the handset with only a 3000mAh battery instead. It may be possible that the company would fit the huge 4100 mAh battery in this rugged Note 5 Active variant. This 5.7-inch jumbo phone will be equipped with IP68 water resistant rating.

Due to the heavy competition in Smartphone business, the company is struggling to maintain its top position. The sales have also dropped considerably as the lower cost Android phone makers like Xiaomi, Huawei, OnePlus and Motorola are gradually increasing in the market. The Active series do not seem to be focussing on areas like slimness and even metal and glass. The Active family of phones instead are purposely using thicker, sturdier plastic to make these devices tougher.
