Samsung has recently announced a new laptop that is coming-up as Samsung 9 Series 2015 Edition ultrabook. The laptop is also known as ATIV Book 9 2015 in various markets of the world. This latest launch will reach different regions of the globe starting from 29 December 2014. The laptop was showcased during CES event in Las Vegas.
The Samsung Series 9 2015 Edition notebook that is coming with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB SSD storage version and priced at $1,399, has been listed as out-of-stock on Amazon. There is also another version of this notebook with a lower configuration, viz. 4 GB RAM and 128 GB SSD storage, priced at $1,199. The company claims that the new notebook is the thinnest and lightest laptop offering by the firm till now. It has come-up with 11.8 mm thickness with weight of just 950 grams. It also features a smaller than usual 12.2-inch display, which packs a WQXGA that is 1600x2560 pixels resolution. This notebook runs on Windows 8.1 operating system with 64-bit dual-core Intel Core M-5Y10C processor, along with Intel HD Graphics 5300. The processor has 4MB Cache, 800 MHz Base Frequency, 2 GHz Max Turbo Frequency and 4 Threads.

The Series 9 laptop has already started selling in South Korea’s Samsung Electronics Stores. As for the battery backup, the Series 9 2015 Edition notebook by Samsung is said to be delivering 12 hours of battery life on a single charge.
