Samsung is about to announce its own line of smartwatches going by the name Galaxy Gear. It will be announced alongside Galaxy Note III on September 4 in an IFA event in berlin.
It is rumoured that the smartwatch(Galaxy Gear) will be taunting Android OS but we are not quite sure which version though. It is also being said that Samsung has been working hard on producing one since last year saw that dawn of smartwatches by companies like Sony and Motorola. Naturally Samsung wouldn't want to be left behind. The Galaxy Gear will be a companion to your smartphone as it will be able to receive calls, text messages, browse the web and much more.
It has also been reported that Galaxy Gear will have a Dual Core processor with Exynos 4212 chipset. The smartwatch will be having a 1.7 inch display with 320x320 resolution(seems kinda low) but we are pretty sure its gonna be a flexible display of the OLED kind since Samsung was kind enough to showcase some of them in an event last year. Finally be on the lookout for the IFA event on September 4. Don't forget to visit our website for full coverage of the IFA event.
