Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. – the electronic giant – with its brand-name of Samsung phones is coming out with two high-end smart phones within a period of next six months. That is big news. In fact, since after the setbacks it suffered, in the sphere of revenue and marketing, it hopes to gain fresh grounds in the ever-competing smart-phone markets. Incidentally, Samsung’s market share has gone down in recent months when Micromax overtook this giant.
The two smart phones that Samsung has planned to launch, perhaps by early next year, are likely to create ripples in the market. The first one, Galaxy Note 4 (a large-screen device) is expected to be available in the market possibly within a month or so. The second phone – again, a premium one and still to be named - will be launched within the next six months. In fact, as per Wall Street Journal, the Company’s Senior Vice President, Mr Kim Hyun-joon indicated that this would be launched globally and will feature ‘new materials’. There were however no elaborations.
If one goes by the present spate of rumours, the second smart phone (expected to be out by February, 2015) may be christened Samsung Galaxy S6. It would most probably be of at least 5.1” super Amoled in the footstep of Galaxy S5. The chances are that the device could have a screen size of as much as 5.5”. Interestingly many details are simply being guessed, and are subjects of speculation.

Some of the features that the new phone (call it ‘Galaxy S6’ for our discussions here) are likely to have an outer metal casing, Quad Core full HD (1440x2560), 20 MP primary camera and 4.7 MP front camera, longer span of battery and wireless charging. The price would be somewhere in the vicinity of USD 850 or so.
It is only a matter of time when we would get to know what exactly the super premium smart phone from Samsung would look like, and more importantly, what would it be known as. Please be on the watch.
