Solar Impulse has been attracting a lot of interest today, and as you all know its achievements have been enjoying worldwide media coverage. Impulse first started out as a home improvement company in 1991, serving South Australia. It now has branches in New South Wales, Western Australia, Victoria and Queensland and manufactures new and innovative renewable energy products.
Impulse solar power systems were designed to meet the needs of families and all panels come with a 25-year warranty, as well as a high-capacity inverter. The main objective was to show that today's technological innovations can reach unbelievable things like flying day and night solar powered plans only by solar energy without using any fuel. The first step has now been successfully reached to its destination. A revolutionary solar powered plane will fly around the world next year and has successfully made its opening with test flight in Switzerland. The Solar Impulse 2 plane lifted off from Payerne aerodrome in Switzerland and successfully returned after two hours later.

It is a single seater aircraft, with which Swiss pioneers Bertrand Piccard and Andre Borschberg are attempting to carry out the first solar powered flight around the world in 2015. It would be the first plane to fly day and night without fuel or polluting emissions.
It was 2 hours and 17 minutes, professional test pilot Marcus Scherdel was able to trial the aircraft's performance in the skies.
