The Company’s Executive Vice President for India, Mr Atul Gupta was confident that the new Suzuki Swiss would be a perfect ride for all age groups and that it would be a scooter to reckon with in the 125 cc segment. We tend to agree with his views.
The updated version of Suzuki ‘s Swiss 125 has been launched very recently for the Indian riders. The new version has been aimed at smart urban youth who look for comfort and convenience. Suzuki has added a number of new features that would not only give a more attractive dazzling look to the bike, but would also show better performances on roads.
There are essentially little changes in the new vehicle mechanically as it continues to derive power with the same 8.7PS, 125cc single-cylinder engine mated to a CVT transmission that is good for 8.5 bhp and 9.8 Nm. The updated features are however attractive enough, which include a new digital instrument console with digital meter and a handy service reminder. The dual trip meter and digital clock have been added for greater convenience. The bike’s blue lens position lamps and multi-reflector lights are added for improved visibility. Further, the new model replaced the older fibre front mudguard with a new steel fender thereby providing better sturdiness.
The other features like its larger under-seat storage of 20 litres capacity and fuel tank of 6 litres capacity will prove convenient for long, out-of-city drives. The maintenance free battery and tubeless tyres and steel fender (which makes it very practical for every day commuting) enhance its utility. The vehicle’s new body graphics give it a better look as compared to the older one. The new version of Swiss 125 is available in four striking shades, viz. Metallic Sonic Silver/Glass Sparkle Black (APT), Pearl Mirage White (YPA), Glass Sparkle Black (YYB), and Candy Dark Cherry Red/ Glass Sparkle Black (ACC). It is now available for sale at Delhi at around Rs 52,000/- (ex-show room price)
