Design
The front unmistakeably reveals the face of the all-new BMW 1 Series family, with the kidney grille in dominant upright position, extensive headlights and rounded corners of the windscreen at the intersection with the roof. At the back, the 1 Series looks like a scaled standard BMW design due to it being a hatchback. While the shape of the boot hatch is similar to that of the 3-Series.
Driving Dynamics
The suspension characteristics of the all-new BMW 1 Series have been specially designed for driving pleasure and maximum comfort at the same time. Efficiency
ECO PRO Mode gears everything towards maximum efficiency: accelerator pedal, gearbox parameters and shift points are all optimised and the heating/climate control strategy intelligently adapted to achieve optimum consumption. The Auto Start Stop function switches off the engine as soon as the vehicle is not moving and the driver operates the brake. However, intelligent electronics only switch off the engine when no energy is needed by other loads and there is no adverse effect on your safety and travelling comfort.
