Respawn Entertainment has come up with a new game called Titanfall 2. Vince Zampella, Founder and CEO of Respawn Entertainment, confirmed that it will be released on multiple platforms. According to reports, Titanfall will boost sales of the Xbox One by 96 percent in primary markets like the UK.
Speaking to IGN ahead of tonight's BAFTA Game Awards, Zampella, whose title is nominated in three categories, acknowledged the game's existence for the first time. It means that the successor to Titanfall will almost certainly ship on PlayStation 4 as well as Xbox One, and likely on PC too. The original has been launched as an Xbox console exclusive. Titanfall has something called a campaign but it's not really one. A campaign traditionally means a single-player, narrative-driven experience. Titanfall's campaign, meanwhile, is a series of multiplayer matches with some voiceover before, during and after. Whether you win or lose a given match, the campaign moves in the same direction. Respawn also expressed regret at limiting the original game to just the Xbox One.
The CEO of Respawn has put down his views in these lines: 'I guess EA announced a sequel, so I could play coy and pretend I don't know anything about it, or... yeah. So we're working on a sequel. No official name yet, but we're working on that. That is the main focus but we're starting up a second team and doing some smaller stuff too. Small, exploratory, taking it slow! It will be multi platform game in future'.
