Toyota has officially announced the release of its hydrogen fuel cell car Toyota Mirai- The Turning Point. With the tagline as Turning Point, this Fuel Cell Vehicle (FCV) with aesthetic design looks promising and justifies its tagline. The carbon fiber tank can fill in 10 minutes and drive up to 300 miles.
The Toyota Mirai is a FCV concept car. Unlike electronic vehicles who take overnight to charge and run, Toyota Miria has ultra strong carbon fiber tank which can be filled in 10 minutes and drive up to 300 miles. The hydrogen in tank reacts with oxygen and produce electricity with water vapor as the only byproduct.

Oxygen is sent into fuel cell stack where electricity is produced. Power Control Unit which is car’s energy manager sends this electricity to motor. As electricity passes through motor, a rotating magnetic field is generated and hence the car drives. A separate nickel-metal hydride battery is used to store excess energy for ignition and acceleration.
According to the news, around 3000 units of Mirian will be manufactured in USA alone. Toyota is giving its best to be the turning point of automobile Industry. With its attractive look and facility, Toyota Miria is something to look forward this year.
