Twitter, Inc two months earlier has launched its live streaming app called "Periscope" for iOS but atlast it is now available for Android as well. The application is same as that of iOS with slide enhancements in Android-Specific changes. Periscope is giving tough competition to its rival "Meerkat".
The major difference in Android & iOS app is broadcasting method. Android has the floating button to start the record while in iOS device user should click on center tab button. Android users can to get notifications of followed peoples when they broadcast a new video. Users can broadcast their videos publicly or privately with specific persons. Persons granted access to private videos will get a notification of a new Video share.
Speaking of the Android launch and the reasons for the delay, the Periscope team saidon a blog post, "As a small startup, our initial launch was limited to just iOS, but we've been working really hard to craft an experience that feels special on Android, yet still unmistakably Periscope."
