Microsoft has decided to give the Windows 10 update to all the Windows 8.1 and Windows 7 for free. Although for Windows 8.1 users update will be given for the first year and Windows 7 users will get the update in second year. Well it cannot be called as compromise as the Microsoft is following the path of Apple in terms of OS update.
With Windows 10 you will be getting the same usage experience in your PC, Laptop, XBOX, Tablet, Windows Phone. They call it as One product family - One Platform - One Store.
They have also kept a Universal apps where the MS Office, Store Apps and Game apps will be common for all the devices as they will be packed with Direct X 12.
