Xbox music App is already a favourite Music app of many music lovers. Xbox Music has streamlined and easy-to-navigate interface with good sound quality. Microsoft’s Web based Xbox Music lets Xbox Music Pass subscribers stream their favorite music to PC web browsers, tablets, Smartphones, and also Xbox home video game consoles for $9.99 (Roughly Rs 630) per month.
Now Microsoft has made the services even better by delivering a long promised music locker feature by which you can store your own music in OneDrive. The only thing you need to have is an active Microsoft’s Account. The most important part of this functionality is that it doesn’t require a paid Xbox Music Pass subscription and its free for all. This new OneDrive integration feature was first announced in March this year, and now it has reached the Xbox Music apps on the Android and iOS platforms.
The users of Xbox Music app can stream music from their OneDrive folder on Android and iOS. To get started, just create a Music folder in the root of OneDrive if it’s not already there. You can, then, upload your favorite music files from your hard drive to the OneDrive Music folder. Users can upload music files like mp3, m4a, or wma on their OneDrive account and stream it from the Xbox Music app on their devices. Downloading of these music files from OneDrive and playing them offline is also possible.
The users of Xbox Music app can store up to 50,000 music files in their collection on OneDrive which matches storage limit of rivals like Google Play Music. Apart from these features there are several bug fixes.
