Xiaomi has launched the 4G-LTE variant of its 5.5-inch phablet, the Redmi Note, in China. It has been priced at CNY 999, which is nearly the same as the original Redmi Note’s price in India-Rs 9,999. There is currently no idea of Xiaomi plans on launching the new variant in the international markets. The company is going to launch the original phablet in India soon.
Xiaomi revealed that the Redmi Note 4G features a 5.5-inch HD 720p display and is powered by a 1.6GHz Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. It has single-SIM support and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat, instead of the 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MTK6592 SoC of the 3G-only variant.
