Youtube, launched about a decade ago, provides a platform to people across the globe to discover, watch and share originally created videos. It has since then attained vast popularity among net users, and can justifiably claim to have been used as a forum for uploading and sharing millions of original videos throughout the world. Youtube’s parent organization, Google, has now announced release of new update to its mobile application for Android and iOS platforms, which will enable users to watch videos at 60 FPS (frame per second) at 720p and 1080p resolutions.

The enhanced rate of 60 fps videos would give a smoother, more realistic look in comparison to what we have been used to viewing at the standard rate of 24 fps. The viewing experience would certainly be far superior. It may be clarified in this connection that this high rate of FPS is already available on Youtube’s other main platforms, and this has now been brought for mobile gadgets as well. With the availability of the new update, the smart-phone users playing youtube would get the feel of desktop site, thereby getting a more enjoyable viewing. Interestingly, this FPS rate would be available for HD videos on the viewer’s smart-phone as default option, in replacement of the earlier default option of 30 FPS for HD content.
Now we await the feedback from our esteemed readers on the new update for sharing in our blog.
