Zopo Mobiles – a Chinese smartphone manufacturer – has made debut in India with the first ever smartphone for Indian mobile market recently. Called ‘Zopo Speed 7’, the gadget has been priced at Rs 12,999, and will be available for sale exclusively through Snapdeal from the first week of next month. The phone, available in two shades – white and black, is sleek with narrow bezels, and is measuring 146.1 x 70.6 x 8.65mm.
Zopo Speed 7 has 5-inch full HD (1080x1920 pixel) display, and is powered by 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor and Mali T720 GPU. It is a dual-SIM enabled phone with fairly powerful 3 GB RAM. The phone has internal storage of 16 GB with provision for storage of additionally 64 GB through micro-SD card. The gadget runs on Zopo’s own Z-UI that is based on Android Lollipop 5.1v. The cameras are powerful – the rear camera is of 13.2 MP while the front one is 5 MP. The phone has a feature, called Face Beauty 4.0, which aids in enhancing the quality of selfies. The mobile supports 4G connectivity as well. In the connectivity front, it supports 4G, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.

The battery back-up is supported by a 2500 mAh battery, which claims to provide 10 hours of talk time and about 120 hours of stand-by time. The company, Zopo Mobiles has partnered with ADCOM for providing after sales service in India. Incidentally, ADCOM has around 200 service centres spread across India. The CEO of Zopo Mobiles, while launching the device, commented that Zopo would ‘leave a mark in the extremely enticing Indian market.’
