The ZTE Spro 2 Smart Projector is making its way to AT&T on Friday, 24th April. The Chinese tech giant’s gadget combines a projector and mobile hotspot in a single box. The Spro 2 smart projector tagged at a price of $399.99 with a two-year contract, $499.99 off-contract or add it to a new or active Mobile Share Value plan for just $10 per month.
AT&T will be the first to make this product commercially accessible. They have proclaimed that the device will be available from their website, as well as from select retail stores nationwide. The ZTE Spro 2 features a 5-inch touch screen display that has a 1280 by 800 resolution and runs Android 4.4 KitKat. It allows you web access right, can install apps from Google Play, check your emails and more right from the device. With the hotspot functionality the Spro 2 allows for 10 independent Wi-Fi connections at the same time. It also doubles as mobile hotspot.
ZTE Spro 2 features a powerful Snapdragon 800 chipset (the quad-core Krait 400 CPU is clocked at 2.1GHz) with 2GB of RAM. You can play videos from the device itself or USB for external input or use HDMI, Bluetooth. This Android-powered Smart Projector is capable of outputting a 720p image up to 120 inches in size, with a brightness of 200 lumens. It features a HDMI port and USB 3.0 port, as well as space for 2TB ( TeraBytes ) of expandable storage, plenty of room for a few HD movies. The Spro 2 powered by a 6,300mAh battery, allowing the device to run for 3 hours as a projector or 10 hours while in hotspot mode. It can work as a portable 4G LTE hotspot, allowing you to connect up to eight devices at one time.
